The Governing Board is proud to present the district's new Stategic Plan and our look to the future. In the tradition of our community it shows us, yet again, the strength of our community's commitment to educational excellence. With clear goals and initiatives, the plan outlines our priorities and is the foundation of our plan to move forward as a community and a school district.
Over the last 20 years the District has experienced spurts of growth until recently with the economic downturn, declining enrollment has been the major issue facing the District. In both good and bad economic times, the District has not wavered from its education without imposing undue stress on the taxpayers of the community. With the prolonged recession facing Arizona, the District is once again entering a period of change, which will challenge all of our resources and our abilities to meet budgets and yet continue to provide a quality educational environment.
To this end, the four-year strategic plan is designed as part of our ongoing effort to proactively develop an instructional program that addresses the educational needs of students. The plan unequivocally states our commitment to our mission and our vision to see each student reach his or her greatest potential. |
